My name is Ryan Johnson.
I am the Owner of Oregon Outfitters, LLC.
I was raised on my family's small farm in Redmond, OR and have always had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and the Central Oregon way of life. My Dad gifted me a 10/22 one Christmas and appointed me Head of Varmint Control on our family ranch. My passion in firearms and hunting began there. I began reloading my own ammunition, building rifles and learning all I could about firearm ballistics and load development. Later, in high school, I took up fly fishing. I started chasing Rainbow Trout with my lone 5wt starter fly rod on the Middle Deschutes. It has since developed into pursuing dozens of species through different states (and countries) with an arsenal of gear.
I started Oregon Outfitters, LLC in 2018.
I am passionate about the outdoors and the lifestyle that goes along with it. Through selling firearms, I can share my knowledge of the industry and products, promote safe shooting and provide a comfortable, no pressure buying experience for recreational shooters and first time buyers in Central Oregon. For those more familiar with the sport like hunters and competitive shooters, I aim to offer specialized firearm/gear outfitting and firearm parts for assembling custom rifles. I am also a licensed hunting and fly fishing guide in Oregon which allows me to share my field knowledge and passion with my clients.
